Our philosophy
We believe that fashion should be a force for connection, not consumption. Our philosophy is rooted in respect; for the Earth and for those who inhabit it, both now and for generations to come. We see textiles not as trends, but as our story, carefully woven with intention. For us, that encompasses a desire for our choices to reflect our values; of slowness, responsibility, and the desire to create beauty with purpose. In a world shaped by urgency and excess, one engulfed in mass consumption with no sense of accountability, we choose to consciously do our best. To be transparent in our decisions and creations. With a background in textile sustainability, we are aware that the very aspect of production goes against the notion of sustainability, however we believe there is a world where we can try to do better. That true sustainability is not only ecological, but also human - reflected in empathy, transparency, and long-term thinking. We are guided by a deep commitment to honour nature, celebrate craftsmanship, and create in a way that gives more than it takes. This is not just how we work, it is what we stand for.
Our people
For us, true sustainability encompasses not only the products that we create, but also the people who help us create them. Complete sustainability is intertwined directly with moral and ethical sustainability. We believe that in order to call ourselves a sustainable brand, we must therefore also hold ourselves accountable to the standard that the wellbeing of each and every person who helps bring an AUME product to life is also cared for. For this reason we work solely with manufacturers who can guarantee a safe working and living condition for all workers. Our manufacturer has been 3rd party certified by an external independent and accredited organisation, verifying that the factory that produces our pieces and their manufacturing processes have meet both a quality and safety standard that is applicable to EU Law.
Our materials
We believe that what we create matters, but so does how we create it. That is why we are committed to using environmentally responsible materials. Every fibre we choose is carefully selected not just for its quality and beauty, but for its impact; from origin to end of life. We work exclusively with organic, biodegradable, or low-impact materials that honour the planet and protect its ecosystems. Whenever possible, we design with mono-materials, allowing our products to be more easily recycled or safely returned to the earth. This approach is not a trend for us, it’s a long-term commitment. A choice to design with intention, to reduce waste, and to embrace simplicity as a form of respect.
Because true sustainability begins at the very beginning of the supply chain, with the materials that we choose and trust to carry our values.
